Biography
Doug has over 25 years experience in media and stakeholder relations; much of it working in the power industry. He has led the public consultation for major Alberta Transmission projects and led a team responsible for the consultation for over 100 transmission applications in just three years; all have been approved by the regulator. Using a risk management model, Doug has also developed consultation programs for large electric generation facilities in both Alberta and BC and has experience in providing expert witness testimony at regulatory hearings.
Doug has a strong depth of knowledge of both the Alberta and BC Power industries including key corporate, contractor and regulatory contacts.
Personal
Doug is an author, having recently published a book about his Grandfather who fought in the First World War for both Belgium and Britain. He's also a genealogy enthusiast and a minor hockey league coach for his son's teams.
